How Much Are My Vinyl Records Worth?

Most used records are worth $1–10, but first pressings, rare labels, and certain genres (60s jazz, northern soul, early punk) can be worth hundreds or thousands. Photograph the cover and, if possible, the label and the runout etchings, and we'll identify the pressing and check actual sales.

Pressing matters more than the album: a first US pressing and a 1980s reissue of the same record can differ 100x in value. The label design, catalog number, and matrix/runout numbers are how we tell them apart.

Get the Most Accurate Value

  • Photograph the record label (center), it identifies the pressing better than the cover.
  • Note the catalog number (on the spine/label) in the notes field.
  • Condition grading is everything: visible scuffs drop value sharply.
  • Original inner sleeves, inserts, and posters add real value.
